THIS WEEK'S STUFF
Welcome to the first Inning-Eater sale. If there's something you like go for it, no limits. Hololive Ayakashi Vermilion has been on a nice run lately.
Sale goes live 7:30 PM CST on Saturday. I whiffed on stating the time in the video so I'll leave the date here.
Enjoy your Holiday weekend everyone. I'll be busy getting roasted by my Mother-in-law for the buzz. lol.
LABOR DAY HOOPS CLASSIC:
It being a Holiday couldn't keep me from a hoop. The Labor Day Hoops Classic record was The College Dropout by Kanye.
I come from the era of bootlegs and CD binders (bonus points for a disc changer right next to the amp in the trunk). I originally bought a copy from a friend who had a CD burner, teenage royalty in 2004, for $5. Ended up liking it so much I bought it legit using $15 of my $50 Wendy's (LOL) paycheck.
When you're paying $7.99 for xbox live come hell or high water, this $15 matters.
All this to say I have a huge bias for College Dropout and the pre-celebrity pre-chewed up and shat out version of Kanye. And you know what? This shit fucks for hooping, nostalgia lenses be damned.
There's gaps, notably the skits which brings the hooping-background-track nirvana to a screeching halt. PLus the first half being Ascended Heroes makes the second half look like Chaos Rising. Still, this version of Kanye is clearly the best. And the entire "Fuck what everyone else wants you to do" thing resonates with a basement card dude like me.
Rating: "Well, mama, I know I act a fool / But I'll be gone 'til November, I got packs to move" never hit harder.
